Coeliac Disease

Coeliac Disease is a life-long autoimmune condition, which causes a person’s immune system to attack its own tissues when gluten is eaten. This causes damage to the lining of the gut and means the body cannot absorb nutrients properly.

1 in 100 people have Coeliac Disease, and once it is diagnosed, the only treatment for the condition is a life-long gluten free diet.
